Analysis of Terminal Deoxynucleotidyl Transferase

Abstract
From May, 1988, to Aug. 1991, we studied Giemsa-banding chromosomes from peripheral blood and bone marrow to investigate chromosomal abnormalities in 352 patients showing congenital anomaly, unexplained mental or growth retardation, infertility, cryptochidism, small testis, hypogonadism, primary amenorrhea, habitual abortion, ambiguous genitalia, neonatal death or still birth, hematologic malignancies, and others. Recognized 54 chromosomal abnormalities were as follows: 1. Autosomal aberrations ; 36 cases (66.7% ) Most common case is Down syndrome ; 27 cases (75.0% ) 2. Sex chromosome aberrations ; 18 cases (33.3 % ) Most common case is Klinefelter syndrome ; 9 cases (50.6 % )
